Just got this guy the other day. He is in bin i bought from walmart for $5 that i put holes in. I keep him on the fish tank because it gives off heat for him and helps with humidity..

vry cool, i ended up geting a blacklight an used there glow as a night light lol

my brother got an emperor once, the whole "emperors are tame" did NOT apply. the thing was vicious. on top of that, it was too stupid to eat, it just crawled right over the crickets...

sounds like he may have gotten a red claw by mistake. They are very similar except for their demeanor.

Emoroers are really easy just keep them damp and fed and you will do fine with it. the black light should only be used on occasion because it is said to irritate them in a similar way that sun burn irritates us.

pretty sure it was an emperor, it's colors weren't even close to that. it looked just like every other emperor i've seen.

That is a really nice set up. If you don't mind my suggesting though, you might want to increase the depth of the substrate to about an inch below the hide, or reduce the height of the hide. Bugs like very secure and snug hiding places. The tighter the fit the better.

ya my scorp has tons of hiding places, yet burrows under the shale slabs, even though he has moss piles, a bark tube i sliped from a branch. and plenty of leaf litter. also to the comment about a mean emp, it might have been an asian forest, they look the same, but the asian forest is slightly thinner and a few other slight differences, but much more aggressive...

Wow Walmart and also thats cool i want to get a Emperor they are bigger but really big babies compared to like a Bark Scorpion..like to see updates!
