Got a 30 gallon tank. I believe its 30 gallon. Its 36"x12"Wx18"T. Filtration is (@tm) a aqua clear 500. Have 2 of them. But only running one @tm. Substrate is going to be crushed florida coral for half the tank and black sand for other half. Maybe one or 2 plants and a pc of driftwood. Oh and plenty of big rocks, probably slate for ph and ez to make caves with. Stock ideas so far include a pair of buffalohead cichlids for algae. Maybe a pair of firemouth cichlids. I got a couple more ideas ill post later. Would like to grow out a black diamond cichlid or something as a center pc. Ill post scientific names later when I post the other fish I'm considering. I'm still researching. Lf something for bottom (which is my buffaloheads) something for middle and something for top. And maybe a center pc fish that sticks out and gets bigger. Might upgrade tank to 55 or 75 at some point. Keep you all posted !!!:D

Yeah I have no pics yet and I'm doing this all off my cell phone. Have to figure out how to post pics using this thing. Also if neone has ne info, pics of listed fish, comments etc.. feel free to post them. Also when I get done with final stock list if u think I might be over crowding feel to let me know. -chip

Buffalo cichlid (steatocranus casuarius) Brichard's slender cichlid (teleogramma brichardi). Firemouth cichlid (thorichthys meeki). Malawi blue dolphin (cyrtocara moorii). Thinkin about a pair of all those maybe one male couple females. Dunno yet. Except the malawi blue dolphin. Since they don't seem to form pairs and r peaceful I would just get one male and let him be the big dog of the tank. This is just my idea. May be other species out there id like better but as for now those r the ones ill be looking for soon. They all have the same water condition requirements. If u have ne input or info lemme know! -chip

Oh also wanting to throw an electric blue crayfish in there. And a few plants for some shrimp to live n. If they will. And a few snails. Some breed for the under sand work and something for the other partsm I've read that snails like to breed. I figure if they do and I have a speices of fish that likes to eat baby snails then its a win win. Same thing with the shrimp. If they breed a lot (don't know much about them) then that's also another food source. Who doesn't love from fresh shrimp! :) Somethings going to have to give tho. The buffalohead is blue. The firemouth has quite a bit of blue. Slender cichlid has some but not much. That's just to much blue!! On top of the crayfish that I have to have. They're eating behavior is interesting imo. Oh and that blue dolphin is.....u guessed it. BLUE! That ones is the wifes idea. But I think she likes there hump on there head. There's other speices like that. Just have to look and see who is peaceful.
