Yesterday I bought a male green severum from petsmart. He stuck out to me because I've never seen one with so much blue at that size. He also has a lot of red on him too, but you can't see it in the pics because they arn't that great of quality (phone).

Well Here He is:

Very nice pick up, with potential to be a display specimen. I like how you saw the good qualities of the fish, he looks like he has some fin rot on the caudal fin but with good water quality that will go away no problem. I sure do love my green sevs smart move man. The blue hue looks really good

thanks, he just completely stuck out from the other fish, it was weird seeing the difference from him to the other Severums, I'm really hoping he colors up even more as he ages, then I want to breed him and see if I can get some great offspring.

Yeah I was worried that he may have a slight case of fin rot, but I don't think it'll be a problem in the long run.

I went to petsmart the other day to get a dither convict for my Salvini pair and the clueless nerd working in the fish section kept telling me how it was a "turquoise severum" and not a convict:ROFL:... ended up having to pay $6.99 for this "turquoise severum" that is the funniest convict I've owned lol [/random]

did you point out the real severums and show him the difference?

I think if your in a pet department in any store you should have to be taught the difference between fish. You have the fishes life at risk when you dont know what your doing. atleast theres people like us out there who research before we buy because we cant trust these guys. nice con by the way
