Went to the lfs yesterday and picked up a silver aro thats probably about 2.5" for $12. I floated him for 20 minutes then dripped him for 30 minutes before putting him in the tank. He ate live brine shrimp right outta the bag (the sign of a healthy fish, proper acclimation, and good water) Today he had his brine shrimp in the morning, and this evening he took thawed frozen bloodworms and a small piece of freeze dried krill. I am trying to get this guy on pellets ASAP. Anyways, if you have any input for me feel free. This is my first time keeping an aro this small. Here he is!

So tiny!! I'm surprised he wasn't that expensive, then again my lfs is insane with fish prices :grinno:

Yeah I got him from a small LFS. The guy is a retired teacher so he doesn't have to live off his LFS income so to speak. He ordered me three peacock bass juvies as well. They were $8 each at 2". They will be introduced when the aro is over 8" and the bass over 4".

do a larger aro with smaller bass. my mono pbass ate 2 arowanas on me at the same time. i don't remember the exact sizes, but they were close in size. do something like a 15" aro with 4" bass. bass are mean to aros sometimes aswell. i have my 22" silver with a 6"+- small mouth bass and the bass gives the aro some sh^t sometimes.

oh ya nice lil aro. i love lil aros.

Very nice, Don't blink, it'll be a 24" monster before ya know it.
