MY NEW SILVER!!!

I just got him today. He is about 4-5 inches long. Does anyone know how fast they grow. Right now I have him in a 100 gal. Eventually I will move him up to my 180 gal. Will that be big enough for him?

they grow at a good rate, my old one grew from 4" to 18" in about 8 months

what are the dimensions of the 180 gal?

Grats! They grow fast. 2-3" a month even if fed a lot up to about 18", then it slows down. Your going to need a tank thats at least 30" wide, probably at least 6-7' long.

if thats the best u could do thats fine, but dont expect it to outlive you. when i was a kid i kept a silver in a 55g for 2 yrs then gave it away..it only lived 5 yrs longer after i gave it away. btw cute silver

wont work, you need atleast 30" wide, 36" is even better.
