Hi all,

New to this forum... thought i would intro myself.. :)

Finally got my 10x3x3 tank built... now just deciding what gravel and fish to keep in there...

I am thinking about black pebbles or redish ones....

As for fish... also thinking of a few big tank busters...

Any recommendations would be greatful..

Ciao,

Tony

Welcome to MFK =)

A silver aro would look sweet against those black or red pebbles you spoke of. Might as well paint the back while you can. Good luck with your tank- you've got a sick footprint to work with.

Pictures please , i would go down the route the Amazon tank with a sand bottom a large peice of drift wood maybe a couple of large fake plants , and fish like Silver Awo' , Oscars , PBass , Stingrays , TSN , RTC , Lima Catfish , Pacu , RBP .

Not all of them but a small group of a few .

I am currenly making a 900Gal indoor Trop' pond and thinking of putting a group of 5 maybe 7 Oscars , 3 Motoro Stingray , 3 Lima Catfish , 1 Silver Awo' and maybe a couple of Pbass .

NIce tank. A 36" footprint allows alot of nice fish. I would try to grow out a massive hystix (sp) pleco they can surpass 3' or a few niger cats. they will get over 30" it's really up to you what type of fish are you into? cichlids aggresive fish with teeth. (armatus would do great) or you looking for a pacefull smaller fish community. I mean a tank this size with a crap load of fish that are all around a foot would be sweet and you could spend 5 years stocking it lol

get a aust lung fish, alligator gar, rays, aros, bichir or some pbass

Thanks guys....

Yeah will definately post up some pics of the tank setup...

Tank is made from 15mm glass all round and base is 19mm.
Two weir on each back corner, before the tank was put together at my place, I got a mate who does professional window tinting to apply the background with 1 piece marine blue contact, turns out very nice.

Also applied 1 piece black contact on the base as well, so just incase I decided not to put any gravel in, it won't have that mirror reflection on the fish.

Now I am just doing the plumbing for the sump.... currently a 5ft matrix sump... just thinking it maybe not big enough.
