So, i've settled on Amazon Biotope for my new aquarium. (50 gal)
thinking about getting an arapaima gigas but i'm not sure how its growth rate is going to compare to that of a red-belly piranha
i could get a smaller arowana. but i'm still not sure about interactions with red-bellies and, maybe, a peacock bass

its not a hard deal to put in hiding places and plants and keep everyone well fed and murk up the water
but even still.
so what's your XP with arowana and piranha?

gigas needs atleast a 1000 gallon tank if not more, aros need a tank of atleast 300, school of Ps need atleast a 75 if not a 125, P bass need atleast a 180 if not 220.....

I really hope this is a troll....

Non of those fish except for maybe the RBP are suitable for a 50g.

I hope you ment to type 500 gal...

More like 5000 gallons...

A 50 gallon isn't big enough for an arowana and definitely not big enough for a gigas.

Also DON'T mix piranhas with anything besides other piranhas it will end HORRIBLY for any other fish.

Seriously and arowana or pima that would temporally fit is a 50g tank would be eaten ot harmed by RBPs. Not that this mix is going to happen at any size within a home aquarium.

Arowana growth fast 1-1.5" per month on average.
Pimas grow even faster 2" per month.

Starting with either around 6" will only give you a couple months in a 50g tank. The OP is lacking in some seroius research as what it takes to house and care for any of the mentioned species.

All of those fish listed will need a tank larger than 50 gallons long term. I suggest you to read up a bit more on each of the species before settling on a decision.

Closed so as though not to feed any trolls.
