My (((NEW))) Thorichthy's maculipinnis (AKA Ellioti) pair

I had a group of 8, 2m/6 females, the biggest being about 2.5". Over about a month they killed each other, I got rid of the last one, since I couldn't find anymore locally. Nice looking, but mean.
They started off in a 55 and we're going to eventually move, but didn't make it that far.
They are a lovely pair! And yeah, super cute at this stage!
I had 6 from just over an inch long, in the hope to form a pair and remove the rest, but in stead they just all grew up together for over a year, till I had to break down the tank for other reasons. Besides a bit of bickering and chasing about I saw zero real aggression. Towards the end a pair were just starting to finally form. They were about 5 inches and chunky by then.
I was later told I had 5 males and 1 female, so amazing they all got along so well! Just goes to show ya never know, eh?
Beautiful beautiful fish and fun to watch in a group, but I understand that doesn’t always work out...
I’ll be keen to see how these little ones progress...
