Valenciennea wardii or the Tiger Watchman Goby! I'm a big fan of Gobies, but this species has always topped them all for me! Just took forever to find them locally. :nilly:
Purchased the smaller one from a lfs not too long back, and his last shipment had six more - had to grab the largest in hopes for a pair! Had one awhile back that jumped on me - these two have a space of their own with no openings to escape (hopefully) - feeding on pellets and anything else that is added to the tank. :D

Harlequins can get pretty nasty - not cheap either! One heck of a fish though.
And definitely will, I'll grab some more shots after work tomorrow - tried to get some while the smaller one was out sifting through the sand for food, but it didn't exactly work out with dead camera batteries.

Oh I'd rather have tanks than more room to myself, lol, that's pretty much the only reason I sleep on a futon, otherwise there wouldn't be enough room for everything else! Granted there are less tanks in my room than there were back in the day, but the few left still take up a good amount of space. ;)

Beautiful!!!!
You bet they are! :D
Sounds fun fish to me.. gotta read about it now. interesting and lovely fish.
Definitely fun to watch scavenge for food in the sand and dart after falling pellets to sift through too - just a cool species in general.

Well, I'm a little late on getting more pics as we recently had some very bad weather. Five tornadoes apparently, which no one in the state of Wisconsin was aware of any danger until it was very clear that the weather was bad at about 1:00am on Wednesday. No warning, no sirens, just total destruction. One tornado was just down the road from my location. Once again, we were not aware of any tornadoes as there was no warning, so things could have gone very badly had the tornado been stronger/closer - lost all power for the past two days, which luckily the neighbors behind us had a generator that they were willing to share, otherwise I would have been scooping up a large number of dead fish.
Gotta love the weathermen. Always there to...well...guess for a slight chance of thunderstorms?
Done with my rant for now, lol, anyway update on the "pair". The for sure male decided to rip-up the smaller one, and so they are now separated. They're just alone in a 10-gallon setup - nothing fancy, but I also don't want to risk losing them to tank mates or jumping.
Pics! (excuse the dirty glass and low water - still working on getting everything back up and running without that generator now that the power is back)
