He is so ugly that he is actually cute! I can't capture it with the camera, but in person he looks like Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street.

That's sooo cool, I thought it would have been a puffer, because everyone in australia calls puffers toad fish. but meh.
Wow! those eyes don't look real. I am sure it would be able to swallow that passing fish if it wanted to. It is difficult to get a concept of size from that pic, what is the size of the Toadfish?

Those eyes get better than that. Unfortunately, he is well camoflaged and his eyebrows don't show up well. At the right angle, his eyes look like a classic muppet.
He is 13 inches and all mouth.

The little one is an Atlantic Grunt and the one in the background is a Sand Perch. We use the grunts for bait when offshore, but I'll be bringing more home for munchies.
