Hello everyone I figured I post some pics of my new Venustus tank it ain't much but I'm glad to have these guys. Since I'm more of a CA/SA kind of guy. But i really like these africans.

keep an eye on the ph. if it gets below 8.0 you may want to remove the driftwood. africans perfere high ph.

Are those Nimbochromis livingstonii ? If so they get aggresive toward one another once they break the 4inch mark. I had to seperate mine at that point.

thanks for the great comment. Yeah a few ppl have told me about the wood. I took it out. I'll show an update tank pic to see what ppl think.
 
'm petty sure they are venustus. I special ordered them through there specific name. Unless the fish store don't know how to identify them.But then if they can't they shouldn't post to sell.
 
They're venustus, not livingstonii (the yellow hue is the difference at a young age). Great looking fish, will look good as they mature. Might want to do something about that blue gravel though...
 
I'm also an American cichlid kinda guy but have always liked the venustus, would love to see some fully grown specimens. Enjoy em and keep us updated.
