Going to hook it up to my mahseer pond outside. Now that summer is here there are tons of algae and my old mechanical cartridge filter requires washing every two days. The new filter has 10x more trapping capability and almost no back pressure. Because the flow is not compromised it allows the pump to push more particles into the filter element. I will post again in a weeks time to show the results.

Ran it for five days. No lost in flow which is what I wanted since my previous one required washing every few days. Fish are definitely happier with more flow and cleaner water. Lots of algae during Summer.

1600g. 4ft deep with 75 mahseers in it. 1-1/2 to 2 cups of pellets a day. Direct sunlight all day. Pipe size is 2". My previous filter was 1-1/2.
