hi guys , i bought this thing and i'm curious what you think is it ,in my opinion it may be golden trimac ,rd x trimac or faded trimac but i'm not sure which one is it exactly??

looks like some kind of faded amphilophus hybrid. You could call it a faded flowerhorn but it doesn't have any good flowerhorn traits.

you've got yourself a red devil. i bought an unidentified RD the same way when it was young. they come in a variety of reds, pinks, and yellows with random black markings.

i agree, looks more like a young RD than a FH to me

It's got some FH traits. That pearly striation obvious over t the back end certainly isn't any rd/midas trait. The blush of orangy/red well behind the gillplates looks like a nice FH tip too. The fish is young yet. It'll color more as it matures but who knows exactly what it will look like in the end. IMO Looks like it might be a JK x rd/midas.

u helped me a lot i got the same thoughts as you,also Rd don't have red eyes and such head shape as my fish has,i'll post some pics as it grow a bit

RD/midas can have red eyes. It's just the coloration on the body that is really telling of FH lineage.

Its a FH of some sort,we get em at alot of lfs around here.Not sure where they get the white and orange but they're often mistaken for RD or Midas,maybe somewhere in the mix they are but not 100%.....
