Got these two today, they are the only Congicus in the country, arrived in 2008.
I finally got my hands on them!
Smaller one is 13", the bigger one is 14" and much much thicker.
They were pretty expensive when they got here in 2008 and if one was to buy one from the same store today they would go for 600-1000$ a piece (depending on the currency against the us dollar).
anyways, a few pics
the bigger one:
the smaller one:
the bigger one right after he got in the tank, colors washed out but they are back to normal now:
I now have 9 Polypterus species; Palmas palmas, Palmas polli, Ornatipinnis, Endlicheri congicus, Bichir lapradei, Retropinnis, Delhezi, Senegalus & Ropefish...
Recently got the first two Endlies in the country but i didnt grow them out big enough to be in the 200G and they were eaten so now there are no Endlies around here... Gonna try again later if i can get some bigger ones,
