My newest addition... N. Beani! Heavy Picture Load!

Got these 2 Beani from Dan at CichlidsoftheAmericas.com (COA) and extremely happy as usual! Although I've had Beani before, none this big.... he had (has) them available on his list so I jumped on it. (Male 7"-8", Female 6") Although the "mosaic" pattern hasn't quite set in yet, it's suppose to be a male and female. I've had these about 3 weeks and they went from hiding in a corner to jumping out of the water to grab food!

Thanks man! Tetra Cichlids Sticks is what Dan was feeding them and had suggested so I've been sticking with the guidelines he uses for these. They love the stuff and beg for it.

Very nice fish! Good idea getting them large. Hopefully they're past the size where bloat is an issue. I'm presently growing out eight. I had them in my pond over the summer and they did well, reaching a size from 2.5-4". I'm keeping them cool (~74 F) and feeding sparingly. Last year I raised 6 up to about 4", then lost them to bloat. Perhaps this time I'll get this batch "over the hump". Good luck with yours.
