Here's my newest addition. He's about a foot and in my 150 right now. Once the 150 gets upgraded he will have a larger home.

How long do you guys think he will be able to stay in a 150??

what is your 150's foot print? he will be ok in there for a little while yet. IMO he should be ok for 9 months to a year in the 150. if it is 2' wide he may be ok in there even longer. this all depends on the fish's diet, water quality, etc. they all grow at dif. rates.

he has very nice marking, but looks a little thin to me. give him some fish fillets and shrimp! he'll be fattened up in no time!

Unfortunately my 150 is only 6'x1.5' wide, but that is fine because he will be in a larger tank within a year. I'm going to pick up atleast a 240 but I would like to go bigger because I have a Marbled Pim in there as well and he is getting bigger by the day.

Yeah, he's on a "fattening up" program now. I noticed he was thin compared to by buddies spotted gars, but that won't be for long. :D

is he eating non live foods? if he's not your best bet is to get him eating some seafoods, arow pellets, etc... live fish are fine once in a while, but try not to make it his whole diet and make sure the fish are gut loaded and quarentined to avoid diseases and health deficiencies.
