My newest catfish! Tiggy the Tigrinus [PICS]

So I have finally taken the plunge and found myself a beautiful Tig. What do you guys think? He is about 5" - 6" long, and spends most of his time swimming up against the glass at the back of my tank, I got lucky and snapped a few pictures while he came out during a feeding.

Likes to eat silversides mainly, but I have also had him take down a few feeder guppies as well. (I bought 40 last night, and my BBXB took out about 25 in the first half hour)

Thoughts? Don't mind the water, the rays made a mess of the Massivore pellets that were dumped in there.

That is an awesome cat! I have recently become more interested in this hobby. How hard to come by are these guys, I haven't seen many of them. When I do they are really pricey. Why are they so hard to come by?

Supply and demand.

More so the demand I guess. Its the hands down favorite catfish that if money werr no object peiple would get so the price stays high. Its also a reasonable sized catfish that you can keep for its entire life in a reasonably decent sized tank. So it has more appeal to a wider audience.
