my newest ebjd pair

They are a vey young pair. The tank is only a 30 gallon. They have spawned twice now. I will put them in a 75 when they get a bit older.
The first spawn is only a coupe weeks old, the second spawning was today. I have lots of breeding pairs now, and they seem to be more consistent. Soon I will have bluejacks galore. It has taken a couple of years to get the quality up there, but I am starting to see great results now.
Actually I have already had many spawnings from different pairs in the past, but it is one thing to get lots of bluejack babies and quite another thing to get quality ebjd. To say it has been trial and error would be an understatement. Lots of spawnings have turned into food for my african tank. I had no idea it would take over 4 years to get where I am now. No wonder you see so few awesome ebjd's. If someone would have told me it would have cost me this much money and time , I don't know if I would have attempted it. My quality gets better all the time, but the stuff I am getting now is going to be hard for me to top.

I have 4 diiferent lines now so that all my ebjd offspring are a total outcross. None of them are inbred. This gives them more hybred vigour, and better health.
