My next breeding project

This female was born on July 6, 2005. She is now a solid 11" in diameter. I have been pulling her out of the tank every month or so to take measurements and pictures.

You can start to see some of her father's marbling coming through between her spots.

I am hoping to breed her back to her father by the end of the year. This will not be a regular practice. Just something I need to do to satisfy my own curiosity.

wow, shes up to 11" already? Shes growing fast then! I wish you luck, I have a feeling your going to have a lot of pups very soon between this one, your marbled female, your other female and the histrix.

Dont worry about that, they will be fine. I have a 8" tiger, 4" retic and 10" motoro in water with a pH of 8.4-8.6, and hardness off the charts. Mine are doing fine and growing like weeds.
