Sorry maybe I responded wrong... I was asking a Q, because I have a black background and wanted to know if they would try to blend in....

Anyways, yes they would blend with the background.

-Light background/environment : Light Based
-Dark background/environment : Dark Based

D A R N !...I have a black background and every Dat i owned always turns into chocolate

So that's the fiend that's turning your Dats into chocolate colors haha!

If you remove your black background, after a few minutes they would turn into light based
