So i rescued two kittens from a porch, with a chair for shelter and a damp sheet on the wood. Normally i do not do this, i felt bad taking someones pets, but we found the first kitten a week before we took them, her eyes were caked with dirt and oozing puss...we pet her and walked away, two weeks later a second kitten shows up with there mother, kitten two is in the same condition as kitten one..and kitten one is 3xs worse with sullen eyes and wheezing to breath, both were crawling with fleas. They were about 5 weeks old. So i decided to take them..they were at a persons house with trash piled around the porch..and healthy(looking) cats inside..(the entire place is gross)

They had a horrible respiratory infection, the night we took them they both picked at some soft food and got a good warm bath, the smaller of the two was so bad her breath smelt like puss there faces were crusted with puss from there nose and eyes..it was horrible they are mostly white kittens and when we bathed them there fur turned red from all the flea dirt and there little pink ears were black with mites. The next day the sickest of the two stopped eating so i started force feeding her with milk supplement and some soft food mixed together.

..this is the worst one when we got it home, she could barely breath she struggled to take a full breath

They were in pretty bad shape...we tried to take them to the humane society..but they were going to charge us 50$ a kitten to drop them off!..so I called around and found a vet who would help us out for cheap like REALLY cheap when we told them we rescued them, apparently allot of funding are being cut so shelters are refusing to take animals.

^_^ 6 hours after the first dose of antibiotics the sicker of the kittens started eating on her own! two days after that she was running and playing with her sister with nothing but a small hitch in her breathing.

we took them back to the vet today and got the all clear! a clean bill of health!!

They bounced back wonderfully...and i cant even begin to describe my feelings for the people who let this happen!..

It all could of been prevented with just a tiny bit of care of there cats..

the smaller of the two would of died with in a week had we not taken them and im sure her sister would of followed soon after.

The mostly white of the two was the worse^_^ two lovely little girls!!
(who love fish tanks)

I'm a cat guy myself - this is wonderful to see - thank you for doing this for them (and for yourself!) Cute as buttons, too! They look super relaxed!

thank you for helping those poor lil' critters out.

thank you every one..they really are wonderful! to bad moma is still out there unfixed...we might try and trap her and get her fixed, they have a free spay and neuter clinic around here i could get her fixed at and release her back to them.

we already have a couple of cats, and a friend of ours might be taking one of the kittens and we will be keeping one.

cute pictures...i would love to rescue a kitten, but unfortunately my dog hates cats
