This aquarium is my pride and joy at this moment in time. All water test conclude that the 90 gallon has officially cycled thanks to the help of dirty filter media lol. But yeah, it turned out well and I am aware that the tank is a bit overstock at this time. I’m planning to rehome four of our discus in the future as well as four of the clown loaches. I do twice weekly water changes as of now and am feeding them the best blood and black worms I can find. I’m still testing the water daily but let me know what you guys think! And I’ll keep you posted! The discus were our favorites handpicked from jack Wattley in Miami. They all have quite the personality and are constantly begging for food as we pass by the aquarium.

Yes, I have a dozen midsize adults. I’m about to have to thin out the herd though. As of now, with the fishes size in the amount of fish. Would you guys consider this a massive overstock? I believe with twice weekly water changes the 30% I should be good for a few months or so without having to do too much.. There’s plenty of space and considering they’re good they were coming from a 55 gallon think they’ll do quite well. I have a sump and UV sterilizer running. They were feeding within an hour LOL.

Im amazed at how quickly they were to adjust. They will be in my prayers lol. And comments on my setup would be greatly appreciated! I painted the back of the aquarium black yesterday and now the fish seem to be more content and calm.. maybe it helps them feel secure.

Thank you. The built in filtration plate that you can see inside the aquarium is black so we decided to pain the black glass black as well. It really makes the colors of the fish pop. Everyone’s doing great this morning. Justa begging for food already this morning lol, they are all spunky and have so much personality!

As for the 55 I’m trying to sell the setup as we speak. We had two aquariums in our living room and let’s just say it was a bit much to undertake.

In everyone’s honest opinion, do you look at the aquarium and think it looks overstocked? In the future I plan to downsize the collection to my favorite discus but I would think all of the fish currently housed in the 90 gallon should be comfortable for a year or so. Am I wrong?
