Its actually a black drum....about 50lbs. They put up a really good fight, but can only catch them during their run through the channel during the spawn. Around the cut is where we catch the big bull reds. My brother in law caught one last year @ 32".

Mans thats nuts. Black Drum also a freshwater species? We have freshwater drum up here but we call them Sheephead lol. They don't get big like the ones down south get. My largest was a 12 lber which is massive for up here.
