Just built out of a 2.5g and 5.5g. Found the light in my stash. Its the same bulb i run on my planted tank so its good!!
Now i need to figure out stocking. hmmm. has to be low maintence due to the fact i have minimal space to work with

Filtration is gonna be a Uncle toms mini canister filter.
Substrate for once isnt gonna be sand. probly gonna be some kind of gravel.
what do yall think?

Open bottom tank. the top tank has no bottom and the tank is open around the edges. vaccum keeps the top tank(which is upside down) completly filled

I take it your using a luft pump to run it.. they seem cool by idea but say the power goes out/fuse blows/circuit breaker flips off. You have 2.5 gal of water all over the place.. goos luck with that lol

How did you attatch the 2.5 to the other tank?

interesting. reminds me of an old science-class experiment. i'm assuming that you placed the smaller tank inside of the larger and filled the larger up with water and eventually the smaller tank rose and filled, as the larger tank filled up. the smaller tank is floating, right?
