Very nice, agree with Hpizzle, i would like a bowfin someday.
 
i currently have 4 babies im trying to keep alive. i lost some of them but these last ones seem to be doing well. ill get shots of them when theyre a bit bigger. they are a blast to keep...

Yeah and its funny how I have my nine incher in a tank with the same type of background.
 
Beautiful Bowfins. I used to own 9 20 plus inch Bowfins Five female and Four Male.
Had them in my 300 gallon stock tank. Fed them crayfish and carnivorous pellets.

nice fish. i love bowfin. caught a lot of big ones before. theyre awesome fish. id love to get a baby or babies for my tank. me and my friend have been trying to catch some small ones. anyone know what time of the year they breed?

Awesome fish indeed.
I've also caught some big ones, but never smaller than 12".
Make sure you put them in a qt tank and de-worm them if your going to keep any.

I love the ribboning fins on these guys. And the electric blue tounges during breeding season.
