My medium size orange parrot fish just got these big black splotches all over the top part of his body, what do they mean? I heard they could be either just plain stress from water changes, or even deadly diseases! Please tell me the correct info guys!

A couple of my parrots have had black splotches/stripe-like patterns on them since I got them...I haven't noticed any issues or illnesses with them...
Looks like natural colouration, fish can change colour and develop markings, its most prominat in goldfish, cos ive seen them go through massive colour transformations. Ive had a parrot cichlid before with black splodges. I wouldnt worry
it should be reasonably normal. ive seen many parrots with patches of black. i even had one for over 2 years that had a bunch of lack splotches on him. he was perfectly healthy and ate like a pig until my FH made dinner out of him.
hey guys! He's almost covered in all black on his whole upper body, its scaring me how quickly its taking him over!
