my ornate randomly started biting and beating up my weeksi who is peaceful

I had the same thing with my male ornate biting my male weeksii even had a dozen other polypterus of differant species yet he only took a dislike to the weeksii had to rehome the ornate after trying various ways to stop it.

this is a possibility especially since you have decor in the tank. How big is the tank they are in? What is the footprint?
