My Oscar bit me!

Little bugger. Drew a fair amount of blood, and he's only 5"! My fault for having my hand in the tank during feeding time, though! I hand-feed him sometimes and he thinks my whole hand=food if I don't hold the food at the water line!

Anyways, I do have a legit question. Stupid me managed to break my glass lid. During the four hours after this, when I was getting supplies for&repairing the glass, I didn't think to cover the 1/4 of the tank without the lid on it. Well, he jumped. I found him on the floor pretty dried out. Stupid, stupid me has been beating myself up for it ever since that happened.
Luckily, he survived. He had slightly ripped up backs fins....



And now his back fins look like this...the end is clear? Is this just his fins healing, or is there something wrong with him?

You sure? Because his tail looks shorter, if you compare the pictures! Like the torn part has just fallen off or something...Is that normal?

I'm HIV positive its healing. Same thing as my beat up cichla.
It's just replacing the bad tail with the new tail.

Oh good! I was really worried. I didn't know it was possible to get super attached to a fish. When I found him on the floor I ran out of the room and had my mom get him, he wasn't moving so I thought he was dead and didn't even want to see him, I was too upset!

I've been doing water changes every other day and feeding more live foods(home-raised tubifex worms, freeze-dried bloodworms) since he jumped.

Poor guy was covered in dog hair, he landed in my dogs favorite spot to lay down and stare at the fish.

I would definitely buy one of those. I'd put it right next to my "I can't even park S T R A I G H T" *** pride sticker Let's see what people think of that.

He did it right in front of my friend, took my hand out of the water and didn't even realize I was bleeding until she pointed it out. I'd been trying to coax him out of his hole since he doesn't like seeing anyone he doesn't recognize.

I'm not sure if they block it because they are homophobic, or just because it makes certain people mad, but yes. They block even that word.
