My Oscar diet mix

I have had great success with this. Offers a varied diet from trusted names in fish food.

I use:

Omega One Large Cichlid Pellets
Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold
Hikari Cichlid staple
Hikari Food Sticks

I mix these in one bag and shake it up to get a good mix, then throw in a handful. I also feed this to my Largemouth Bass. The fish are very healthy. The Oscar has grown beautifully, with no fin rot, HITH, clouded eyes, etc. One theory on HITH suggests a poor diet may be to blame, and varying your food would be a good preventative.

I also supplement with frozen krill, veggies, silversides, bloodwurms, and the occasional feeder.

What about crickets and beefheart? Both of them are good too!

Do you get the crickets for the lizards? If so, I will get some tomorrow.

I give crickets to my archers. They love them. Puffers try to eat them too, but make a mess. I know the LMB will love the crickets.

I'll get some tomorrow! Actually, if I find bugs in my house, I punish them by feeding to the LMB. Step into my domain, you feel the wrath!
