My Oscar has gone crazy

Ive had this oscar for like 7 months and usually when i walk into the room he's up greeting me begging for food. Well the past 2 days he hasnt really eaten anything and every time i come near the tank he goes crazy opens his mouth up and charges at the glass where i'm standing like he's trying to attack me. Any ideas why?

He is a guard-oscar and he thinks you are an intruder. He is protecting his territory!

During the spring, my Midas gets sprung. He gets into mating mode and goes ballistic with the glass attacking. He even bites me when I do his tank maintenance! Could be Mr Oscar is going through the same.

My oscar did the same thing a few weeks ago, his colors also got very brilliant so I assumed it was oscar mating season. He has since returned to his normal self.

how old is the oscar? they usually dont reach breeding age for awhile , it took my female 3 years to reach the age to lay eggs. what are your water parameters and your w/c schedule

i noticed the last week or two, my oscar has been a PITA to other fishes when theyre just minding thier own buisness. lol
