my oscar illness

i have a oscar. this morning i see that his left eye has some problem. his left eye was puffed and his left eye color chenaged to withe. what should i do? can i cure it or my oscar will die?

plz help me. because i love this oscar and it's my best fish.

Based only on the fact that so far it is only one eye, the clouding being inside the eye rather than a film on it, and especially the reddening and swelling it sounds like a bacterial infection, try gentamycin or amoxycillin. It might lose the eye but if the disease is treated it generally lives (even with one eye).

How big is your oscar?
Any tankmates? What and how many?
Do you test your water? What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate?
Do you do water changes? How much and how often?
