i began to notice my oscar 7-8" has beat up back fins about 3 weeks ago, and it just got worse and worse everyday. at fist i thought it was my jar 12-13" that's bullying him, but as it got worse, i'm not so sure about that anymore...its scales missed more and more, and this one time, he even had a big chuck of flesh taken out on his forehead.
he's in such a bad shape now, i don't know if he can survive if this continues. you guys think it's the jar who's doing all these damage? or he has fungus? cuz his wounds does have white color showing, but the white colors aren't hairy looking though... wut should i do?
btw, my tank is a 125g

It might be the jar. They are supposed to get more and more aggressive as they get larger/older. He might just be targeting your oscar now, but he could start showing aggression towards your other fish too.
If its not the jar, are there any other fish larger than the oscar that might be fighting him? The other oscar looks the same size. The good news is that if you can move the oscar, he should heal pretty quickly. They are pretty tough

yea, my jar's target was my red hooks, they're pretty big...like about 6 or 7" in diameter, he chases them and beat them up, i guess now his target moved to the oscar...and the oscar is the 2nd largest fish in the tank, so it has to be the jar then

Could be anything...didn't I see a GT in one of the pics? They'll tear a O up too, size be damned. I'd separate out that O, like, 2 weeks ago.

put that thing in another tank, add some salt, raise the temp, melafix, and watch him till he is better

my oscar got some good bites taken out of him from my deformed con. just a small chunk here and there. he healed quick and is good friends w/ the con. hope your luck is as good as mine was.
