Nice Oscar.
What size is your tank?

his tank is a 35 gallon tall

nice oscar but like i said on youtube how does your gouramis live with an oscar and is it possible to have a baby oscar in a 10 gallon for a short amount of time before i move it to a 55 gallon tank?

No, and no. 55g is not enough for one Oscar. Start with a 75 gal and expect to get 100+ within a year or two. Ten gallons might be okay as a quarantine tank for a week or two if the Oscar is less than four inches long, but remember that your Oscar should grow one inch per month for its first year. An Oscar that isn't within the 10" to 12" range by its first birthday will be struggling its whole life. Please do not choose to abuse a fish by cramming it into a 55g.

EDIT: There have been cases where optimal care has resulted in a smaller Oscar. Either these were a. orbicularis or they are simply related to Gary Coleman.

55 will be fine for a while but not for life, make sure that you keep up with the water changes as oscars have a HEAVY bioload. BTW a little soon on the coleman jokes knifegill

yeah too soon dude, too soon... but yeah def get that poor thing in a larger tank, and a regular or long dimension tank is always better than a tall one for fish other than discus or angels because they need the horizontal space more than the vertical. and yeah i think a 75g would be good for life for a single oscar by itself but once it gets larger you will def have to make sure you dont slack on water changes since these guys have such large bioloads, youve got a nice oscar there and with optimal care he will def turn into an awesome monster O :)

No, I don't think dying can get Coleman off the joke roster. He's a permanent target.

It is a beefy Oscar, and I can't wait to see him in full-sized glory. :)
