My outdoor pond

This is my 6,500 gallon pond. It's still in working progress, I only had 4 days to throw it together because the 11 Koi I was given were losing their home. This summer I plan to add a 8X5 section 1 to 3 ft deep. I currently have a poor filtration setup but I have a 3/4 horse hayward pump I'm adding w/ a sand filter, pool equipment only a year old, which will lead into my regular pond filter. I'm also adding another waterfall because I'm going to have to spread out the pressure of the new pump. Looking for comments & suggestions! Thanks

That is a truely beautiful pond. I love the rocks outlining the pond. How long has it taken you to build that?

Took me 4 days to dig it, 5 feet deep, lay the rubber liner & put water in it to get the Koi's before they lost their home, then took me 2 days to hookup the filter & put the waterfall in. Alot more work to do, landscape & finish what I want to do. Thanks for the comment!

Great looking pond. But you'll probably need some plants so the kois have places to hide in case of predator birds.

I have lilly pads in there, the tops die off in the winter
