Heres my 20 gallon long with 2 paddletail newts. Few plants and driftwood, some floating plants too. Theres a small group of rosey red minnows with them. Comments/suggestions/advice welcomed.
Nice setup. Paddletails are aggressive though, especially to their own kind. Just hope that they each settle for a different niche in the tank. They probably will fight at feeding time so heads up
You should lower the water level and put some cork or another floating chunk of wood for it to go out of the water if he wants to. Make shure your tank is 100% escape proof.
I have read these are fully aquatic, no land required. I do see them hang out on the floating plants sometimes though. But I will probably make some changes to the tank soon.
