A couple of photos of my Pair #3 during Egg-laying . This is their 3rd. brood. I only have 7 from brood 1, and 1 from brood 2, because almost all of them were eaten. I rescued about 10 of them, but only 1 survives now.
Mama spent about 2 hrs. egg-laying, and there are a ton of eggs. I would like to remove the parents after a few days free-swimming, but I have no where to move them.
The 7 JDs from brood 1 are about 1in. now, but they seem to very light in color. They seem different from my other broods from Pairs #1 and #2; but I am certain they are not EBJDs. I don't know the genetics of this Pair.
The photos are not very good with the flash. The other photos without the flash were too dark and I did not include them.
My poor Male didn't have much room moving inside this flowerpot; sometimes he had to stand on his head.
But he has been a good guy; never very aggressive, but I think he is the reason I lost my last brood.
