i got them as subadults a year ago. they are 5" and 6" carapace length.

no. i think i have two males.

ifever i breed them, i will have to set them up in a more natural setting (dirt with access to a small secured pond)

WOW, you better do some VERY serious mate finding and breeding atempts with your 2 boys, these are one of the most rare and critically endangered turtles in this earth, cientists think they may be gone in the wild within the next 10 years if nothing is done and they are very rare in captivity, both in zoos and in private hands. The clock is tiking for saving this species, do the absolute best you can to breed your guys. If by some reason you cant then please give them to a zoo or another conservation agency, at the moment they are just to scarse to keep simply as pets and every gene couts.

This same turtle got washed up in our garden a year ago after a bad flood hit the city. I believe mine is female. I am setting up an environment for her...
