My parakeet died today around 11:30..... the cat that we've been taking care of until his owner comes back scared her, and she started flapping around the cage wildly as usual when he comes by,but then out of nowhere she fell to the floor and started struggling around, and about 5 seconds later she was dead.... I think it may have been a heart attack from fright, or maybe a concussion, but I thnik it must've been from a heart attack since there was no sign of a broken neco or swollen head when I felt around there.

I cremated her since the ground outside is too cold to dig into, I think I will catter her ashes off Point Waranzof later today. i've had her for 2 years, and she helped me get over my cat's death. she was always a very nippy and nervous little thing, but she loved me very much though she didn't show it much. my dove is mourning her too, she was his mate in his eyes and he always did his display to her every day, disptie the fact she didn't like him much. he is sitting on the wooden chandelier, looking melancholly, and hasn't come down since she died. i've never been a day without her, and she's lived with us through sdome of our toughest of all times. she's survived numerous brsuhes with death, but I guess it got her in the end like it gets everyone. I cried my eyes out a while ago, now i'm just feeling emo blah.....

RIP Cecilia

I had a cockatiel a long time ago. My cats would always get on the counter to get a close look at it. One day I came home and the stand was knocked over and the cage broken open. There were feathers everywhere but no bird. I figured I would find a beak somewhere but never did. Didn't look in the cat poop though.

Why don't you go buy another parakeet for you and your dove?
the wound is still real fresh... I loved her very much.... I think I might want to get him a mate of his own species this time. wouldn't you prefer anothe human over a chimpanzee?

exactly why we don't have a pet cat and why I didn't want to take this one in for a time at first.

Nope. A woman will only talk back, use all your money, and give you nothing but problems.
