i'm not a big fan of hybrids or parrots, but atleast he doesnt look as deformed as some other parrots ive seen

i second the notion regarding not liking/approving of hybrids, parrots, etc.... that said, yours does look cool for what it is... congrats!

A lot of them are dipped in this acid bath that burns off scales and whatnot in order to dye them...his "pattern" looks more like it could have been from that. Is it changing at all over time?

what's wrong with hybrids? I'd understand if they were just the result of dipping them in acid, as elevatethis said, but I don't see anything wrong with crossbreeding fish to form new species.
