He recently picked up a new habit of tearing up my two tinfoils hes like 6 inches long and in a 180 so has plenty of space. Hes not doing too much damage but the barbs are losing a lot of scales... thank god they are dithers it doesnt affect there mood.

o noticed that he only doesnt it when the lights are on and i think its cause they are shiny...

... but anyways i have someone coming to get the barbs tomarrow but i wanted to share this guys attitude change and ask if anyone else has experienced this.

p.s. that guy is gonna get some big barbs with like no scales tomarrow :D
hope he takes good care of em

Thats too bad :( .

I was thinking about putting my big tinfoils in with my pbass when I get my 300+ gallon tank. I didn't think about the shinyness of the tinfoils perhaps enticing the pbass to strike! Now I'm rethinking this. :irked:

Thanks for the info. Sorry you had to give up your tinfoils.

6" pbass are kinda like teenagers.. if they can cause trouble they will. My Dozer and his Tem buddies cause far less trouble now that they are 12" or more than Dozer did by himself when he was 6 - 8".

My lenticulata pike keeps my 6'' and 9'' monos in check. They are just bastards when they eat, full on topwater attack on the hikari, sloshing water all over (no lid just wood canopy). I sorta got them as pike dithers anyway. Even my 7'' prochilodus seems to hammer on them from time to time.

ya hes 6 inches and the abarbs are much bigger than him... and im almost positive its because they are shiny because its only when the lights are on
