Hey guys...had to pick some of these guys up to grow out and maintain at work...never really thought I would be a fan, but even as far as cichlids go, they are pretty aggressive feeders.

No idea what kind they are, just got them on the cheap. They were in bad condition but are eating now and getting fatter/recovering lost muscle from when I got them.

Thanks for looking

In that shot? Purged and finely chopped earthworms. They have also picked at pellets and floating krill, but not really taken them yet. They ate flake at first...and even blood worms. Now I think they are too small for them to notice.

These guys cant seem to eat enough, granted they are rebuilding that back fat/muscle...all the fish in the store were super skinny. Big LFS's have a hard time feeding small pbass though I think. Totally voracious.

I know the video isnt the best, but...any idea what kind they are?

like monos or mono/ocell hybrids to me, nice pickups!

SamethIng I was thinking. Looks like mine did when they were that small... 3 months ago... Lol

Edit: mono/ocell in my opinion

Awesome pickups! Good job on the save. Too early to tell so let them grow out more.

Thanks, its what I figured but excited already ha!

Looking great!!

Thanks, Ill keep posting as they keep growing!

Thank you...who knows, maybe I will get a male female and will have babies of my own...I think that would be amazing.

How fast was growth rate for you guys? How much/what did you feed? I cant seem to keep these guys full!

Must be a great deal! Nice pick up.

It was...I paid $27 for all three of them.

Hey guys...just took another video of my little boys/girls... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWbTBhEAj0c&feature=channel_video_title

IDs are welcome again now that they are a little larger.

These were all the same size when the big one started taking pellets first, now the middle sized one, and hopefully the little runt will figure it out before he becomes a snack.
