Got this one from petsmart but yes petco and petsmart sell hybrids where i live now. Only got this guy cause he really looked like a red texas at first but he grew flowers on his head. And popping a not a 2 and a half inches

That tank really needs a water change, brown algae means high nitrates.

Brown algae doesn't always mean high nitrates, I have brown algae with 10-20 ppm nitrate.

Water is crystal clear nitrate is fine could care less about the look of the algae and the fish dont care either lol
