Ok this is the deal I am in possesion of the pissy and bad tempered ornate bichir that I have ever come across or have heard of for that matter.:WHOA:
Now it's a well known fact that they are aggresive groop too semi aggresive.
But in my case I have a phyco.:FIREdevil

When I piked him out, I was told he was semi aggresive :nono: .
This was the first time I ever heard of the bichir......
Wow I thought some thing new and different I was sold :D
After I got him home I started my resrch, I know I know I did it in the wrong order it was a stupid, but I learnd a lesson.
Don't get me wrong I was not new to the game, I am Getting into the odd and rare critters now.So the rules have changed.
I just want to see something that is diffrent you know.
Any way I need some suggestions on what I could mix with my little phsyco
he has cut through two raphels spotted and striped,A transparent knife,

a large pluco.
so far all he seems too get along with are rope fish.:wall:
keep in mind I have a heavy planted 125 gallon.
I dont whant anything that would trash my setup.
I don't care if it's pricey or not Just want something different.

crazy! aggressive bichirs are uncommon but they do occur (obviously). I do have a senegal who's a bit of a prick but nothing like that....

One of my endi's bit another's head right off and they are 4" in a 55 gallon grow out.
Aggressive poly's are annoying...

If you plan on upgrading to a 180, you can keep a black arowana for a nice number of years before you have to upgrade. Try some larger tetras too.

Do you have a pic? That's some crazy aggression for ya.

aggressive bichirs,as mentioned, are very hard to find.
none of my bichirs so far are aggressive, but my endlis are really quite nuts.
theyll at bigger things than theyre supposed to and kill things that seem small.
lost 6 or more CLs thus far.

how about dats, gars, channa pleurothalma or clown/royal clown knives if you get something bigger than the ornate then they should be fine and all these mostly stay off of the bottom of the tank away from psycho fish ! oh and they won't touch your plants good luck Paul

I whent out and made A bit of a gamble I got my hands on a shovel nose tiger catfish
He is bigger than the bichir and I also grabed a copple of rope fish.
so far so good day 3 no chunks missing of any one (yet).
so I have 3 rope and the bichir with shovel nose , I have been looking into maby a pair of rainbow snake heads and apair of clown loaches.
It's some thing I am playing around with,But I always need more ideas so keep em coming people.
I will take some pics and post as soon as I can so evry one can see what I am deeling with.
