my pictus keeps getting picked on by my alge eater anyone have any idea's why or how to stop besides moving them into different tanks.

Is it a chinese algae eater? They tend to feed off of slime coat. Either way, the algae eater needs more to eat.

yes it is a chinese alge eater and they used to be in a tank together and never really bother each other but not the agle eater won't leave the pictus alone

What are the sizes of the two?

The algae eater just thinks the pictus cat is delicious. That's all. Once the algae eater is done eating the pictus cat, you can start him on feeders.

Or you can get a tank divider...
