Here is my pike characin 75 grow out tank . 5 B. maculata and 1 B. cuvier
they range in size from 6 inches to 10 inches.

Please excuse the algae it's hard to clean the glass with such skittish fish.
Any ideas on how to do it without freaking them out are welcomed. The bottom photo is from a week ago when i only had the two 10 inchers in the tank. added the other 4 from a 40 breeder to help spreed out aggresion. The big B.maculata is very territorial.

Maybe try cleaning it off with the lights off.

Tried it before when they were smaller and it didnt work. they freaked out from the watwr movement. but i was also using my hand and a scrub pad. Perhaps using a magbetic algae scrub would be sneaky enough.
