My Pike

Here are some pics of a pike a bought as Strigata, but it looks like it is probably a Ven.

As you can see, this guy has been growing quite fast. I love this fish. Can you guys confirm that it is Venezuela and not Strigata? If it is Venezuela, when will it lose its stripe? I'd say it is around 8 inches right now. Also, any telling what sex this fish is?

Looks like a sp. 'Ven" to me. Strigata has an defined occellated humeral(should) spot. I'm not quite sure what size it will loose it's stripe. Most lugubris types have adult coloration around 10-12". I'm also pretty sure it is a male because ofthe muscle striations on the flanks and the lack of any white in the dorsal.

Yeah, Crenicichla sp. 'venezuela' fo shore. Great pike, it will loose the stripe for the most part, but it can bring it back whenever it wants...
