next to da beech... boyee
:Dtonight i noticed that one redbelly was circling a shallow nest. to my surprise i found a small amount of eggs (yellowish and clear) and some wigglers! i had something similar happen with another pack i used to have, so the circling tipped me off.

i have some questions

the fish that is circling the nest is a red belly, the other fish in the pair is a ternz. is a cross even possible or did another red belly fertilze the eggs and then get chased away by the ternz? there are 4 red bellies, 1 ternz and 1 caribe

how should i raise them

I believe terns and reds are the same fish, just geographical variants. So technically they could pair up. Probably better if one of the more experienced piranha keepers chimes in. Pics of the pair?

pics please

correct both are Pygocentrus nattereri. so yes they could easily pair up.
