Def Peruvian...and brazil is not common. Suris are darker and face is more squared off.

I’m still on the fence when it comes to fila types or rather regions. Have not seen enough credible caught fish. Let’s face it, I bought mine from a guy who has teams of Knowledgable local fishermen in Brazil Working the rivers and at 3” it was sold as a cap. So even they get type wrong when small, let alone the location getting mis communicated. This is a fila though, but don’t think you will ever know type for sure.

I will post pics of my suriname and joshs peru as both at mine at present and are completely different. The peru is like a bull shark aposed to the suriname a black tip in my eyes, The peru's are very stocky and his is light with some faint spotting still and around 24 inches maybe bigger. My suriname is very elongated very dark lost spots when very small and in general very different in head shape and body. They behave very differntly also which is also observed by others. Perus are very confident bold and can be dominent.where as the suriname is quite timid easily put of from feeding. Both still very easily spoked tho. I would say the peru is alot more active also in my experience with this pair alone only experienced ive had.
