My piranha are really shy

Hey i have 4 rbps but unlike other rbps ive seen all mine do is hide under there driftwood they dont reall swim around at all and whenever i walk past the tank they freak out they are about 3-4 inch and in a 55 gallon tank??? HELP PLEASE

give them some time to settle and establish territories. a lot of face time, contact with humans helps. allow them to associate you with food rather than a threat.try dimming the light source.

failing which put them in a smaller tank with out places to hide or get more. but they might still do it. pygos are wussies...
