A few shots of my planted tank. bare with me, i am not much of a photographer. Could someone help me with my red sword? i have had it for about 5 months and it still is quite small and well, disappointing

What kind of substrate are you using? Swords are heavy root feeders - it looks like you have regular gravel as your substrate. You should add some root tabs right around your sword...it should really take off then.

Thank you! yes i do have just gravel substrate, but i have been using root tabs and leaf zone fertilizer. how important is ph and water parms on plants?

Um...it depends on the plant really. Some plants like java fern and water sprite seem to not really care at all, where plants like glossostigma will take off in water that is more acidic. For your purposes, it doesn't really matter much. Your plants will probably do fine in almost all types of water.
